'The Girl On The Train' Is On Track To Get A 'Mission: Impossible' Star

We're ready to feel that "Gone Girl" thrill again.

Buy the ticket, ride the ride. That's what "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" star Rebecca Ferguson appears to be doing, at least.

Ferguson is in negotiations to join the cast of the much-anticipated film adaptation of "The Girl on the Train," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Based on the bestselling book by Paula Hawkins, "The Girl on the Train" has been compared to "Gone Girl" for its thriller tone and mystery.

Emily Blunt is already signed to play the film's main character, Rachel, an alcoholic who has no recollection of how she ended up covered in blood one night, and who is growing increasingly nervous about her own possible actions after a local woman goes missing. Ferguson would play Anna, the new wife to Rachel's ex-husband.

Tate Taylor is set to direct the movie.

After the fierce performance Ferguson offered in the recent "Mission: Impossible," we'd absolutely love to see her go all "Gone Girl" in this new movie.
