Beliebers have been waiting three long years for Justin Bieber to release a new album, and now, in just a few days, their dreams will finally be coming true.
On Friday, Justin will be giving us Purpose, a collection of tracks that will finally show us who he really is. The making of this album has been a journey for Justin, who has said that he is chronicling the high and the low points of the past three years in music that is honest, real and a bit EDM inspired.
So what else can you expect from his album? Well, here are nine things every Belieber should know before they listen to Purpose in its entirety.
Things Are Getting Real.
Justin isn't sugar coating things on this album. It's real, honest and it's from the heart.
"I’m self-expressing with this album — I can’t skip on the moments that were dark, the moments that were happy, the ex-girlfriend stuff," he told Billboard. "It makes it real, rather than ‘Let’s call up Max Martin to write you a hit song.’ I want my music to be inspiring."
It Will Give You That Feeling
Justin's collaboration with Halsey is a big EDM-inspired track that keeps with the same vibe as his similar singles ("What Do You Mean" and "Sorry") and will have you questioning whether you're in love, or just in love with the feeling.

On Justin's "Love Yourself," co-written with Ed Sheeran (am I the only one who thinks Ed's singing background vocals on the song?) he throws some serious shade instead of being a sweet song about falling in love. AND I LOVE IT!
It's Selena Inspired.
JB revealed that some of the songs -- "What Do You Mean," a “little bit” of "Sorry," and "Mark My Words" -- were inspired by his "first real love," Selena Gomez, whom he dated off and on from 2010 to 2013.
He'll Show You.
Justin is letting the music do the talking, and that's pretty obvious on the track "I'll Show You." He's admitting that he's made mistakes in the past, but he wants to people to remember that he's "real" and not "made out of steel."
He's Admitting To His Mistakes.
Nothing is harder than saying "Sorry," but Justin is doing just that. Julia Michaels, who co-wrote the song, said that with their Skrillex-produced song they were "trying to capture that moment in a relationship or a particular moment in your life where you realize you made a mistake and you’re finally ready to admit it and apologize."
Poo Bear Approved.
Jason "Poo Bear" Boyd wrote 12 of the album's 18 tracks, including "Where Are U Now" and "What Do You Mean," and has been Justin's sidekick for quite some time. The two met in January of 2013 and Poo Bear credits Justin as the first person "to bring my name up and say we did this album together. I feel like he appreciates me and I never really felt appreciated before."
Justin's Got A Favorite Track.
Justin has had this track in the vault for quite some time, first teasing it way back in March 2014.
Legendary Hip-Hop Hook-Up.
When Justin Bieber revealed the writing and features on his album, I don't think anyone was expecting to see Nas' name on the list, but we are NOT complaining. Justin hooked up with the hip-hop legend for the track, "We Are," which is featured on the deluxe edition. The hip-hop collaborations don't stop there, JB also hooked up with Big Sean and Travis Scott.
He's Telling His Story.
It's been three years since Justin released his album, and, in that time, he's experienced a lot -- both highs and lows -- and now he's ready to tell you exactly what he's been through.
"I think I’m just telling my story through this album and I’m kind of saying what I haven’t said over the past three years — because I really haven’t used my voice,” he told us. "I want to use it in my music."
