Floyd Mayweather Was Talking To Rapper During Murder-Suicide That Left Stephanie Moseley Dead

Earl Hayes was a close friend of Mayweather's.

On Monday morning, 34-year-old rapper Earl Hayes shot his wife, Stephanie Moseley, before turning the gun on himself in a tragic murder-suicide.

30-year-old Moseley had an appeared on VH1's "Hit the Floor," and was a backup dancer for celebrities that included Britney Spears, Chris Brown and Trey Songz. Earl Hayes was a close friend of Floyd Mayweather's, and according to TMZ, the boxer was in the middle of a FaceTime session with him when the shooting occurred.

The incident apparently spiraled because Hayes was upset that his wife had been unfaithful. He allegedly called up Mayweather in a rage, but the boxer was unable to calm him down.

Neighbors reported hearing screams and gunshots in the couple's L.A. apartment complex before the police and SWAT team arrived to find them dead.

After the news was confirmed, Chris Brown mourned Moseley on Instagram, while Trey Songz took to Twitter to share some kind words as well.

VH1 also issued a statement after the tragic news was confirmed.

"We are incredibly saddened to hear the news of the passing of Stephanie Moseley," representatives for the channel said. "VH1 and the entire Hit the Floor family send our thoughts and condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time."
