Harry Styles's Cosmic Adventures As Eros Teased By Marvel President

'The adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us,' Kevin Feige told MTV News at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con

It looks like all that “Late Night Talking” Harry Styles has been doing has paid off, as he may be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe very soon!

Since the release of the extraterrestrial Eternals in 2021, fans of the artist and Marvel alike were left wondering if the British pop star would make a return as the Eternal Eros. Also known as Starfox, he is the brother of supervillain Thanos and debuted in a post-credits scene of the movie. In his brief appearance, Starfox and his assistant, Pip the Troll (Patton Oswalt), meet with the other Eternals Thena (Angelina Jolie), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), and Druig (Barry Keoghan) in offering to help them find their friends.

But Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, teased Styles’s future return in the “cosmic” part of MCU at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 23), although it remains unclear in which shows or films he will appear.

“Yes, the adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us,” Feige told MTV News. “You’re talking about Ghost Rider, we’ve got Blade. We’ve got Doctor Strange with the supernatural angles. We’ve got the street level with our announcement of Daredevil and of course, [Spider-Man], and cosmic, and that’s where our friends Eros and Pip live.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the executive also announced at the convention that there will be two new Avengers films and several film projects, including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man And the Wasp: Quantumania, and Captain America: New World Order.

Lupita Nyong’o, who played Nakia in Black Panther, said to Hollywood Reporter that working on Wakanda Forever was “very therapeutic” and “restored a sense of hope for me in making it." “Our call sheets didn't have a number one on them, that was reserved for Chadwick,” she said to MTV News. “He was with us. When you take your pain and make something beautiful out of it, it resonates.”

In the meantime, fans of both Marvel and Styles can anticipate two major film roles for the “Watermelon Sugar” singer later this year: My Policeman, which is slated for a limited release in theaters on October 21, and Don’t Worry Darling in cinemas September 23. You can also pay a visit to Harry's House, Styles’s recently released third studio album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and several other charts in multiple countries. Lead single “As It Was” still sits atop the Hot 100, and three songs from the album have debuted in the chart’s Top 10: “Late Night Talking” (No. 4), “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” (No. 8) and “Matilda” (No. 9).
