The Story Behind Justin Bieber’s New Tattoo Might Make You Cry

Find out the emotional reason why Justin, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Hailey Baldwin have matching ink.

When he’s not using Instagram to flaunt his chiseled bare butt for our collective hysteria, Justin Bieber is making us weep for a totally different — and utterly heartwarming — reason.

The 21-year-old showed off his latest arm tattoo in a post on Thursday (July 9), sharing the emotional story behind the freshly-inked letter “G.”

“This is for the strongest couple i know Chad and Julia Veach!” Justin captioned the pic. “Their daughter was born with Lissencephaly. She is incredible and has the sweetest soul. You guys make me better and I’m blessed to have you in my life #Georgia #gtat.”

Chad Veach is the pastor of Zoe Church in Los Angeles and a close friend of Justin’s. He and his wife Julia’s daughter, Georgia, was diagnosed with a rare brain formation disorder called Lissencephaly when she was just four months old.

Many of Veach’s family and friends have gotten letter “g” tattoos to honor the brave little girl. Last month, the pastor posted a pic of model Hailey Baldwin sporting a lower-case “g” tattoo behind her ear.

Eagle-eyed fans may also remember that Selena Gomez was seen with the same tattoo in the exact same spot last month.

“Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson also sported the ink in an Instagram pic last year, which she captioned, “For sweet Georgia.”

In an interview with The Christian Post, Veach shared the story behind the ink, saying, “A friend from New York came up with the idea. He designed it for Georgia and said every time we look at it, we’ll pray for her and then it just kind of took off.”

“It’s a pretty humbling thing when someone marks their body for your daughter,” he continued. “We’ve seen people from actress Ashley Benson to Kevin Durant, MVP of the NBA get ‘G tats.’ It’s an unbelievable act of kindness.”
