Demi Lovato's 'Confident' Video Is Here To Kick Your Ass

It doesn't get much more inspiring than this.

As we've known forever, Demi Lovato is confident. And as we've known since August, she's showing that confidence by calling her album Confident. And as we've known for at least a week now, the video for the song "Confident" was going to be extraordinarily badass.

But we had no idea just how badass. Until now.

Demi released her "Confident" video on Friday (Oct. 9), and it's a magnificently "high octane action film," just as director Robert Rodriguez promised.

Shot like a dystopian Western, the "Confident" clip finds Demi imprisoned and shackled, then pardoned on the condition that she'll hunt down an adversary (played by "Fast & Furious star Michelle Rodriguez), then -- finally! -- fighting back against the backstabbing system that set her up in the first place.

Rodriguez scowls wonderfully as her adversary (and eventually, her ally), and the two have a pretty crazy fight sequence where Demi gets smacked around a lot.

But Demi's "Confident" enough to not "hold her freak back" anymore, as she loudly proclaims in the lyrics -- hence the scene before that where she takes out four dudes singlehandedly. And the ones where she flashes looks like these.

Exceptionally badass.

And this is just the beginning. Demi will appear in Robert Rodriguez's "From Dusk Till Dawn" TV show -- which her boyf Wilmer Valderrama also stars in -- on the Oct. 20 episode.

We can't wait to see what else is in store for Demi, especially given that Confident drops on Friday, Oct. 16.
