Chance The Rapper Graduates From Late Night, Moves On To Conquering Early Morning TV

To perform 'Summer Friends'

You've already stayed up late with Chance the Rapper. On Monday, it was time to wake up early. (Or catch up later on the internet — like we did here).

After a slew of appearances on late-night television in recent months, such as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Chano was up with the sun today to kick off the week on Good Morning America.

He performed Coloring Book's "Summer Friends," and was joined by frequent collaborator Peter Cottontale and Francis Farewell Starlite, who's featured on the official version of the song. The track doesn't sound exactly like what you hear on the mixtape itself, as Chance explained on Twitter: "Me Francis and Peter, no backing track, no click track, Grand Piano + Harmonizer and synth."

If you liked this, you can catch Chance and Francis and the Lights on tour later this year.
