The way Nicki Minaj brings subdued to the cover of Cosmopolitan's November 2011 issue makes it seem like the rapper's never worn an over-the-top outfit in her life. That's just how Nicki rolls, guys -- just when you think she's going to some sport some patterned surgical mask, she shows the world how to WERQUE a hot black leather mini dress.

On the cover of Cosmo, Nicki rocks a short bob paired with a fitted leather dress and/or a sexy Catwoman/superhero Halloween costume. Inside the issue, the "Super Bass" rapper looks stunning in elegant dresses and accessories, while her interview offers unexpected vulnerability from the performer. She says about her aspirations, "I would pray to God to make me famous so I could buy my mother a huge house." She also shares her take on being a strong woman in the music business: "When you come into the business as a woman, you have to play a lot of mind games, because the men tend be very aggressive." And she let's us in on her perfect dude: "I do like a dope nose profile, one that's straight on the side. And I like full lips. I've never kissed someone who didn't have full lips." Take notes.

Nicki also spills about her latest collabo on Willow Smith's single "Fireball," and she shares her very first rhyme: "Cookie is the name, chocolate chip is the flavor/Suck up my style like a cherry Lifesaver." Pure effing poetry.
