If you still, somehow haven't managed to see "The Dark Knight Rises," be aware that this story concerns the film's final scenes. Spoiler alert.

By the time the credits finally rolled on "The Dark Knight Rises," Christopher Nolan had not left many questions unanswered, but for each mystery that he revealed, new possibilities sprang up in the minds of fans. Many of them had to do with the seemingly open-ended conclusion for Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character, John Blake.

Would he become the new Batman? If he's "Robin," does this make him Nightwing now? When's the sequel coming?

MTV News' Josh Horowitz spoke with Gordon-Levitt during promotions for his new film "Premium Rush" and asked how he handles fans who ask about a potential spin-off. Gordon-Levitt said he tends to throw that question back to Christopher Nolan. "It's not up to me," he tells fans. Instead, his responses tend to focus on the honor of being in even one Batman movie. "I say, 'How awesome is it to get to be in that movie?' "

But if a John Blake-led sequel were to happen, he'd have to put on some costume, whether it's Bruce Wayne's old Batman duds or a high-tech Robin suit. According to Gordon-Levitt, that conversation never came up on set. "Honestly, no, we never talked about that," he said.

Even though the Robin twist has dominated so much of the post-"Dark Knight Rises" conversation, Gordon-Levitt does not see the ending as a tease for a future movie. "Honestly, I know a lot of people talk about the ending of that movie being a setup for a sequel," he said. "I don't think that's necessarily what it is. I think it's a great, perfect ending for that trilogy."
