Soulja Boy Tell'em Describes Alleged Robbery

Atlanta police still say they have no reports on file of the December home invasion.

[artist id="2814953"]Soulja Boy Tell'em[/artist] is rarely at a loss for words. But the loquacious rapper has been strangely quiet when it comes to the subject of the alleged home invasion he suffered in December at his Atlanta home.

But he broke that silence when he appeared on "Big Boy's Neighborhood" show on Los Angeles' Power 106 on Monday, telling the show's host that his home was invaded, though he gave few details about the incident.

"I had my album-release party at my club that night," Soulja Boy explained. "I got back to my house at around 3 in the morning. I was in the studio recording. Two of my homeboys was in the living room, and me and Arab was in the studio recording. Somebody kicked in the door. One dude ran in, put the AK to my homeboy's head, put him to the floor. The other two ran in, and my homeboy jumped in the other room."

He said that as the two alleged perpetrators were running through his house with AK-47s and pistols drawn, he peeked out of the studio door and ducked back in to avoid a confrontation. When contacted in December following reports of the incident, Atlanta police said they had no reports of a robbery involving DeAndre Ramone Way, a.k.a. Soulja Boy.

"I really can't dwell on what happened after that, but it was a messed-up situation, but I'm glad everyone made it out alive," Soulja Boy said when pressed about the alleged incident.

Despite the reported break-in, Soulja Boy said he's not going to change how he lives. "I really don't wanna dwell on the entire situation, because my career and my music is pointed towards the kids," he said. "I don't wanna give them that bad image on what actually went down."

Speculation about the break-in has been stirred recently by the circulation of a disturbing video by the alleged perpetrators as well as a bizarre clip supposedly posted by a disgruntled ex-employee of the rapper who appeared to be talking about yet another robbery/extortion plot that unfolded in September.
