Hoku To Appear In New Disney EMT Series

Teen singer Hoku will be in Toronto today to shoot scenes for an upcoming appearance for the new Disney Channel series "In A Heartbeat," a show inspired by real-life EMT squads staffed by high-school students.

Hoku will play herself in a special Halloween episode of the series, dubbed "A Night To Remember," in which one of the show's principals, Brooke (played by Lauren Collins), seeks the singer out during a concert in order to get Hoku's autograph for a silent auction.

In A Heartbeat" is tentatively set to premiere on the Disney Channel on August 26, with Hoku's appearance scheduled to air in October.

After filming the show in Canada, Hoku will head back to the U.S. to complete her stint on the "PremEars In The Park" tour, which also features BBMak and runs through an August 3 show in Concord, California.
