Tribe Talks About The End As Their Swan Song Hits Stores

A Tribe Called Quest delivered its new album to record stores this week, marking the last chapter in a rich volume of hip-hop history.

The Love Movement" is Tribe's last album as a group, bringing an end to a career that was one of the most influential in rap. Since 1990, the group has been a leading force in the socially conscious school of rap called Native Tongues. Tribe contemporaries included De La Soul and the Jungle Brothers and the movement spawned other groups like Leaders of the New School featuring Busta Rhymes and the recently reunited Brand Nubian.

However, all good things must come to and end, as the group recently explained to MTV News earlier this week.

[article id="1449565"]"It's one picture we painted," Q-Tip explained. "It took us a while, and we painted it, and now we're done. Now we're, as artists, we put up a different canvas and get our colors together and our paint brushes.

Y'all are just gonna have to learn to

let us go," [28.8 RealVideo][/article] Phife added.
