Tina Turner's Lifetime Achievement Honored
R&B legend receives honor at Britain's Black Music Awards.
R&B legend Tina Turner received a lifetime achievement honor at Britain's Black Music Awards on Wednesday (Oct. 6), held at London's Royal Albert Hall. "Black music has finally been recognized," the 60-year-old Turner proclaimed at the ceremony, according to Reuters. Turner, known for such songs as "What's Love Got to Do With It" and "Proud Mary," also received a compliment that night from Fugees rapper Wyclef Jean. "This lady definitely has the best legs in the universe," he reportedly said.
