Alicia Keys To Fill In For Kelly Ripa

She'll co-host 'Live With Regis and Kelly' on December 22.

For many, waking up to Alicia Keys would be a dream. Those dreams are about to come true.

Keys will sit in as a guest host with Regis Philbin for the vacationing Kelly Ripa on "Live With Regis and Kelly" on December 22.

In addition to preparing to play sidekick to Regis, Keys is still basking in her eight Grammy nominations (see [article id="1494569"]"Kanye Scores 10 Grammy Nominations; Usher And Alicia Keys Land Eight"[/article]). The nods mark the singer's second trip to the big show as a nominee. She won five Grammys in 2002 for her debut album, Songs in A Minor.

"This time around, it's more exciting because this year has been so exciting in terms of my growth as a woman and as an artist," Keys said. "I'm really getting to enjoy it. The first time it was all a whirlwind, and I was caught up in the shock."

This year, Keys has been nominated in a host of categories, including Album of the Year, for The Diary of Alicia Keys, and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. However, it's her Song of the Year nod for "If I Ain't Got You" that means the most to her.

"That is such an important song to me," Keys said. "It talks about the important things in life and things that really matter. I will never get tired of singing that song."
