Patti LaBelle Loves Demi, Rita And Adele Just Like You Do

Patti gives props to Rita Ora, Adele and Demi Lovato.

Don't worry! Mutual love between the generations is very much a thing. Just take a look at "Lady Marmalade" singer Patti LaBelle, who recently sang the praises of some of your favorite pop stars. Rather than criticize the new generation, Patti gave props (and her blessings) to the new crop of singing and rapping divas in a recent interview with Madame Noir. Here's who Patti loves:

She's a Rita Ora fan.

It may be a little difficult for Rita Ora to break out in America, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have fans on this side of the pond. Rita is interested in doing a new generation cover of LaBelle's "Lady Marmalade" similar to the 2004 instant-classic cover featuring Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott, Pink and Maya for the film "Moulin Rouge!"

"And if these girls, Rita Ora, who I love, if they do this song, that’s another feather in my hat," Pattie said. "Baby, we inspired someone to do something. Don’t you think that would be cute? It would be. I would love that."

She thinks Adele can cover one of her songs.

Hello Adele

Patti's voice is one of a kind, the sort of rare powerhouse that comes around every generation. But there's one pop songstress Patti thinks can hit the notes just like she can: Adele. We've all heard "Hello," so who's really surprised by that one? Other singers she thinks could take on the challenge include the inimitable Faith Evans and showstopper Fantasia.

She totally has a crush on Demi Lovato.

And who wouldn't? As Patti reiterated, "She’s my new crush. That little girl can sing like I never thought she could. She could sing a Patti LaBelle song." Now, we're wondering which Patti song Demi could tackle. (We personally think Confident-era Demi could totally take on "New Attitude".)
