Is Harry Styles Leaving One Direction Next? That's What Lance Bass Thinks
After Zayn Malik’s decision to part ways with One Direction, could the group handle another member’s departure?
We know what you're thinking: UGH DON'T EVEN JOKE ABOUT THAT OMG.
But according to former 'Nsync star Lance Bass, Harry Styles might just be the next to leave 1D.
"Hopefully the other four can go on and maybe do a little more music, but I see Harry [Styles] leaving soon,” Bass said on a clip from “The Meredith Viera Show” that was published on Thursday. "I don’t see another One Direction album happening after he leaves.”
Bass went on to say that Zayn was smart to leave the group when he did.
"Harry Styles has been ready to go solo [for] many months,” Bass added. “In fact, he’s been recording solo. He was about to leave. The Zayn thing was just spur of the moment, but I think the best move he could’ve ever done.
"Harry Styles was a household name,” Bass continued. "My grandmother knows who Harry Styles is. But Zayn Malik? Didn’t really know the name until he was the first to leave the group. So, kudos to him for being smart to leave.”
Despite all of this, Bass says he thinks the group will always have an unbreakable bond. "I think the guys are always going to be friends,” he said. "They’re brothers.”
Bass knows a thing or two about what One Direction is going through. ’Nsync ruled the music world as a group, but in 2004, Justin Timberlake left the band to pursue a solo career. And today, 50 Cent actually compared Zayn to Timberlake.
