Rev. Horton Heat, Hank Williams III Play Hootenanny

Reverend Horton Heat, the Texas psychobilly rocker who dominated the "CMJ" charts earlier this year with his newest album, "Spend A Night In The Box," has been tapped to perform at the sixth annual Hootenanny Festival, scheduled for July 1 in Irvine, California.

Chris Isaak, Hank Williams III, Royal Crown Revue, The Blasters, and The Amazing Crowns will also take the stage at Oak Canyon Ranch for the concert, which in past years has drawn the likes of Social Distortion, X, Chuck Berry, and The Cramps.

To celebrate this year's event, organizers have put together "Live At The Hootenanny: Vol. 1," an album compiling some of the highlights from the fest's first five years. Time Bomb Recordings will issue the LP on June 20.
