Chris Hemsworth's Role In The New 'Ghostbusters' Is Literally Perfect

Who you gonna call? The 'Ghostbusters' receptionist, obviously.

Chris Hemsworth just joined the cast of the new "Ghostbusters" reboot, and we're dying -- but not for the reason you think.

Hemsworth joins the female-led reboot -- starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones -- as not the hero, or the hunky male lead, as we're used to seeing the studly actor -- but as their receptionist.

That's right. The new "Ghostbusters" offers a nice change of pace: in this version, the ladies are out saving the day, while the guys are fielding their calls.

Needless to say, WE LOVE THIS.

While the idea of rebooting the "Ghostbusters" franchise with a feminist spin hasn't been popular with everyone in the world, we think it sounds hilarious and awesome in all the right ways. Plus, Hemsworth agreeing to lend his talents to the film only makes us love him even more.

"Ghostbusters," directed by Paul Feig, is set to hit theaters July 22, 2016.
