Barack Obama Bringing A Wii To The White House

***

Barack Obama has a Wii.

Having apparently gotten past his own commercials advising people to take a civic-minded break from Wii playing when higher duties call, the President-elect now has a Nintendo console.

We don't know exactly who this gift came from, but it gives hope that we will finally have a President who might spend some time unwinding with a video game.

From the Times:

Mr. Obama said he’d have his hands full attempting to rescue the American economy. But he has gotten in a little practice in bowling lately on the Nintendo Wii his daughters received for Christmas. Mr. Obama, who famously struggled in bowling during last year’s Democratic primaries, said he performs better in the video game.

It should be noted that during the campaign, Obama made a comment about parents needing to make sure that their kids put down their Game Boys from time to time. What's with all the Nintendo references Mr. President-elect? Not a fan of the other guys?

And will he buy any games other than the packed in "Wii Sports"? Come on. There's an economy to be saved!
