How Is 'Carter VI' 'On The Way' If Lil Wayne's 'Carter V' Hasn't Dropped?

My head hurts.

Will we hear Tha Carter VI before Tha Carter V? It's starting to look like that's a possibility.

Lil Wayne continues dealing with issues with his label, Cash Money, and its founder, Birdman, with no end in sight -- leaving CV stuck in purgatory.

But Birdman's latest protege, Young Thug, has plans to release Tha Carter VI, and it's certainly looking like it's on the way. On Tuesday (Mar. 17), Thugger previewed two new tracks -- one that sounded like it's a remix to Wayne's "Grindin," and included the caption "#CARTER6 OTW."

A little while later, he previewed another, with the caption, "#FreeAtLast #CARTER6 #WEFREE FT. @jacquees !!!!!"

In addition, his label, 300 Entertainment, tweeted about Tha Carter VI today, too.

.@youngthug #CARTER6 soon...

This isn't the first time we've heard about Thug's plans to drop the album. Last year, he told MTV News that he wanted to do five Carter albums after Weezy himself was done.

Carter VI to X," he said. "He did I to V, I’m gonna do six to 10.”
