Let's Just Say A LOT Of People Saw 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' This Weekend

Even so, it's the box office.

It took a group of six superheroes to do it, but "Furious 7" has finally been ousted from its five-week reign over the box office. Not for nothing, but more than a few people kinda predicted this was going to happen.

According to Variety, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" pulled in $84.5 million on its opening day in the US – well on its way to making upwards of $200 million in its first weekend in theaters.

What's most interesting, though, is that its biggest competition is...itself. All of Ultron's numbers are being compared to the first "Avengers" installment back in 2012 – right now, it's 4.5% ahead of the first film's $80.8 million opening day, but the sequel will be neck-and-neck with its predecessor.

Only time will tell which motley Marvel crew wins out at the box office – which "Avengers" film is your favorite?
