Marvel's 'Black Panther' May Have Just Found Its Director
And it's someone who's already crushing the action movie game.
Who would have thought "Creed," the "Rocky" sequel we didn't know we wanted, would have been a success? You know who did? "Creed" director Ryan Coogler. And his hard work with the "Rocky" franchise has apparently paid off.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Coogler is in negotiations to direct Marvel's "Black Panther" film, featuring the first black superhero. The film will star Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, the Black Panther, chief of the fictional nation of Wakanda and member of The Avengers.
"Black Panther" is slated to arrive in 2018, and we're already hyped for it. We'll also see the character in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War," presumably doing things like this.
