Eve's Scorpion Birthday Bash To Double As Fund-Raiser

Proceeds from party tickets to benefit battered women and children and victims of September 11 attacks.

Yes, you can expect dancing into the early morning and plenty of champagne bottles to be popped, but when Eve holds her Scorpion Birthday Bash on Friday (November 16) at New York's World nightclub, it'll be more than just a party for celebratory purposes. She'll be helping those in need.

Hosted by Ananda Lewis and featuring performances by Jadakiss and the rest of the LOX, the 23-year-old's shindig (her actual birthday was November 10) is doubling as a fund-raiser for her Love Is Blind Foundation and Emmis Communications' Hip-Hop Has Heart Foundation. Tickets for the fiesta range from $50 to $150.

Eve's organization was founded this year and aims to build shelters and provide educational programs for battered women and children. In 1999, she also donated the profits from the sales of her single "Love Is Blind" to victims of domestic violence. The Hip-Hop Has Heart Foundation was created to help aid the families of victims of the World Trade Center disaster on September 11.

A few weeks after Eve's event, the Hip-Hop Has Heart Foundation will put on a benefit concert at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. Jada and the LOX, Noreaga and Fabolous will perform, and Funkmaster Flex will spin records at the December 7 event. Tickets for that show are $30 and go on sale Friday.
