Kid Ink Is Ready To Kick Off The 'Next Wave' With New Single

The track drops in a week.

Kid Ink dropped his major label debut, My Own Lane, at the top of 2014, but he's already locked in on his follow up.

On Tuesday (September 2), the Los Angeles native announced "Body Language," the lead single from his upcoming sophomore album on RCA, due out some time in 2015. The track is produced by Cashmere Cat and Stargate -- the production duo behind smashes like Rihanna and Drake's "What's My Name," Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow," and "Black Widow," the latest from Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora.

"Last year, we dropped 'Show Me' the day after Labor Day Weekend," Ink told MTV News, referencing his breakout single. "So I found it a great occasion to keep things rolling and kick off my next wave."

"We had an amazing ride following the success of 'Show Me,' as well as the follow up 'Main Chick' -- both records were with DJ Mustard and Chris Brown," the Alumni rapper's manager, ill Will, said. "I am super excited about this new single, because it will show that Ink is a true hit-maker and will continue to be a part of hit records regardless who the supporting cast is."

The rapper also teased a big feature on the single, but wouldn't say who.

Luckily, we'll only have to wait a week to find out, with the track slated to drop next Tuesday, September 9.
