Liam Neeson Returns As Zeus For 'Wrath Of The Titans'
Speaking with the Belfast Telegraph, Neeson confirmed his involvement in the forthcoming "Clash of the Titans" sequel, confirming that the title is "Wrath of the Titans." Production is expected to begin in just a few short months, according to the actor.
"We will start next March," revealed the actor. "I'm very much looking forward to it. It's a whole revamping, you know."
Indeed, "Wrath" is sure to feature some major changes from its predecessor, not the least of which is the film's new director, Jonathan Liebesman. The "Battle: Los Angeles" filmmaker replaces outgoing director Louis Leterrier.
Additionally, several notable actors are reportedly signing up for the god-filled epic, including James Franco as Poseidon's son Agenor and Javier Bardem as Ares. Neeson returns to the cast alongside original "Clash" participants Sam Worthington as Perseus, Gemma Arterton as Io and Ralph Fiennes as Hades.
"I've only read half of the script and there is till some work being done -- they're on script 10 -- but I think it's going to be some kick-ass stuff and a very human story to it," he said. When asked if the film will be shot in 3-D, Neeson replied: "I don't know the answer to that."
