Listen To Janelle Monáe's Funky New Single 'Yoga'
Leave it to Janelle Monáe to make a frisky anthem about dancing called “Yoga.”
The hard-hitting track, which is part of her upcoming compilation EP, THE EEPHUS, serves as a sonic mat for the android queen to flex her sexually empowering vocals like: “you cannot police me, so get off my areola.”
“I’m too much of a rebel, never do what I’m supposed ta/bendin over becky, baby watch and I’m a show ya, stretching out my cash, got my money doing yoga,” she sings in her signature melody-flipping style.
Before passing the baton to her collaborator Jidenna, the Wondaland CEO stamps the song with an absurdly catchy hook.
“Baby bend over, baby bend over, baby bend over, let me see you do that yoga/baby bend over, baby bend over, baby bend over, let your booty do that yoga,” she sings.
In addition to “Yoga,” THE EEPHUS project, which highlights the talents of the Wondaland roster (Roman GianArthur, Deep Cotton and St. Beauty), will feature Jidenna’s new sinlge, “Classic Man.”
