Justin Bieber Finally Drops 'What Do You Mean?' -- And It's A Banger
After days, well, weeks (OK, months) of teasing new music, Justin Bieber dropped his eagerly awaited new single on Friday morning, the slinky EDM-influenced "What Do You Mean."
Anticipation for the tune, which the Biebs will perform live at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, has been building thanks to a slow leak of the lyrics and help from some celeb pals in hyping the track.
Enough of that though, what did Bieber cook up to follow his summer smash with Diplo and Skrillex, "Where Are U Now?" It's actually a kind of sequel to that banger. With a slippery flute-like trill over a spare tick-tock island groove and a super chill vibe, the tracks is classic JB: seductive, earnest, pleading and just the right amount of sexy.
"What do you mean/When you don't want me to move/But you tell me to go," he sings on the song destined for his as-yet-untitled first new album since 2012's Believe.
Also, the simple, black and white lyric vid above has some sick skateboard tricks courtesy of pals Ryan Sheckler and Chelsea Castro. Oh, and Bieb' kick-flips aren't bad either. We can't wait to see how this sounds live on Sunday night!
