Dido, Destiny's Child, Kylie Minogue Win At Brit Awards

Robbie Williams, Strokes, Shaggy also take home trophies.

Robbie Williams, Dido and Kylie Minogue were big winners Wednesday night at the 25th annual Brit Awards, the British version of the Grammys. The ceremony was held at Earls Court auditorium in West London.

Dido took home awards for Best Female Performer and the coveted Best Album award for her debut, No Angel. Other nominees in the Best Album category were Radiohead and Gorillaz.

Robbie Williams received his 13th Brit, this year for Best Male Solo Artist. Australian beauty Kylie Minogue received two awards: one for International Female and the other for International Album.

It was a disappointing night for cartoon act Gorillaz. Despite being nominated in six categories and performing at the awards, the foursome walked away empty-handed.

Other artists who received top honors were Shaggy, who won for International Male, Destiny's Child for International Group and the Strokes for International Newcomer.
