Mel B. Has A Theory On Why Ginger Left The Spice Girls
Former Spice Girl Mel B. has never shied away from saying what she thinks -- in fact, she can be scary blunt. Even, apparently, when it comes to the many rumors surrounding the Spice Girls' split -- particularly the rumored bad blood between her and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), who left the group in 1998.
She addressed it all head-on Thursday night (August 7) with Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live."
"I don't think it was my feud. I think she had some stuff going on in her head. I don't think she could take the pressure," she said of Halliwell. "She actually talked about it in her book, and she just bounced.
"She happened to have left on my birthday," she said, playfully adding, "What a bitch!"
As for the others? While Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) is still her best friend, she said she remains close with all the singers in the group, squashing rumors of a rift between Victoria Beckham.
But that's not quite the case between her and Diddy, who hated on her at an awards show by yelling at her to get off the stage. And she told Cohen that she refused to back down.
"Well, I said, 'Come over here and say that to my face," she explained, saying it turned into a bit of "f--k-you scenario."
Guess that's why they call her Scary Spice.
