These Piano Renditions Of Dr. Dre Songs Will Change The Way You Hear His Music

Dre + piano surprisingly go well together.

This post has been updated since August 22, 2015.

On Thursday (August 20), YouTube user tvboy88 uploaded a video of a man playing Dr. Dre on the piano in an Arizona bar.

The man is Morris Rahbar, and he is a classically trained pianist, composer and teacher in Los Angeles. Rahbar was at a bachelor party in Scottsdale, Arizona when he decided to play tidbits from Dre's "Still D.R.E." and "What's the Difference," and everyone in the bar quickly got into the beat.

Despite the controversy that's been in the news lately surrounding Dre, including his apology "to the women [he's] hurt," Dre's contribution to rap and hip-hop shouldn't go unnoticed.

He was part of a generation that truly helped establish the rap scene, and whose origin story is laid out in the N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton," despite unfortunate edits to the script.

The pianist's rendition of Dre songs gives us a new way to listen to his work. A man at the end of the video claps and shouts, "Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!" We couldn't agree with him more.
