The White House Wants To Know How Malia Obama’s Selfie Got On The Internet

We're pretty curious about this too.

Earlier this week Joey Bada$$'s Pro Era crew shared a pretty impressive photo on their Instagram account: President Obama's daughter, Malia Obama, wearing one of their t-shirts in a selfie.

Definitely a big deal, and a big look for the Brooklyn-based collective...but the White House might not be too happy about this.

According to Fox News, officials are reportedly investigating the origin of said photo.

In addition to Michelle Obama's strict rules about her daughters' use of social media (she's not convinced about Facebook for teenagers), the White House obviously takes extra care when it comes to exposure of the First Daughters.

So far, no one seems to have a direct source. Gawker received a statement saying that the photo was obtained from "a mutual friend of Malia and the pro era member," who posted the picture.

Just for the record: we had nothing to do with this!

Below, President Obama explains to MTV News how he feels about his daughters being on Facebook.
