'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Premiere: Our 10 Favorite Moments

From Robert Pattinson's bird mishap to Kristen Stewart's heavy breathing, here's what caught our attention at last night's fete.

It was a bittersweet night as the cast of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" walked the black carpet one last time in support of their blockbuster film franchise. But the mood was anything but melancholy as stars like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner stopped to chat with MTV News, sharing their memories of the saga and looking forward to bright futures (no twilighting careers, here!).

Indeed, there were many memorable moments from Monday's premiere, but we've whittled down the list to 10 top tidbits worthy of a revisit. Check them out below and leave your favorite premiere memories in the comments section below!

Poopy Pattinson

There's no denying RPattz is one lucky dude (have you seen that head of hair?), but he may have gotten even luckier on last night's black carpet. "Something just fell on my head," he said by way of hello to our own Josh Horowitz. "I'm wondering -- I think a bird might have sh-- on me." Man, that guy gets all the breaks!

Kristen Stewart: Heavy Breather

When asked what was running through her mind as she was chauffeured to the final "Twilight" premiere, Stewart was forthcoming, revealing her pent-up anxiety: "I was breathing heavily," she confessed. "I was thinking about not breathing so heavily just because I don't want to miss a second." May we suggest steering clear of telephones until the heavy breathing subsides?

"Twilight: European Vacation"?

There's been plenty of talk about the inevitability of a "Twilight" reboot, spin-off, musical, what have you, but could the next iteration be the cross-continent road-trip flick "Twilight: European Vacation"? OK, no. But star Lautner, when faced with the inevitability of his final "Twilight"-related MTV interview, offered up an intriguing solution: "Do you want to travel over to Europe over the next couple of days?" he asked Horowitz, adding, "I don't want this to be the last one!" Neither do we, Taylor.

Elle Fanning Is Excited

With her sister Dakota vamping as pint-size punisher Jane in the series' finale, Elle Fanning made good use of her time on the black carpet to enthuse about, well, everything. From "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" to her role in the upcoming "Maleficent," Fanning could not contain her glee. And it was adorable.

The "Underemployed" Cast Fire Up The "Ignition"

If the cast of MTV's new series "Underemployed" ever find themselves, well, underemployed, they could always sing for their supper. Sarah Habel, Jared Kusnitz and Inbar Lavi proved as much when they broke out with an impromptu performance of R. Kelly's "Ignition (Remix)." Hot and fresh out the kitchen, indeed.

Julianne Hough Hypes "The Mortal Instruments"

Though the night was all about celebrating the conclusion of "The Twilight Saga," it raised one (inevitable) question: What's next? "Rock of Ages" star Julianne Hough intends to fill the saga-sized hole in her heart with another upcoming YA adaptation: "The Mortal Instruments," starring BFF Lily Collins. (And, as luck would have it, MTV News will be premiering the trailer on Thursday!)

Stevie Nicks May Heart "Twilight" More Than You

If you weren't aware, Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks is a huge "Twilight" fan and even penned a song inspired by the saga. So there's that.

Michael Sheen Is Creepy

No, this has nothing to do with his current facial hair situation. The actor, who plays villainous Volturi leader Aro, just wanted to let everyone know that he knows his character is creepy -- and not to confuse his creepy acting for actually being creepy. Duly noted.

You Inspire Nikki Reed

As you listen to Reed and husband Paul McDonald's soundtrack song "All I've Ever Needed," just know that you -- yes, you! -- inspired her to let loose her inner songbird. "The fans they've inspired me, how creative they are," she said. Three cheers for us, huh?

"The Host" With The Most

Stephenie Meyer's other big-screen adaptation, "The Host," hits theaters March 29, 2013 (watch the trailer now!), and as such, the film's trio of stars -- Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons and Jake Abel -- walked the black carpet at last night's fete. In a rather revealing moment, the leading gentlemen admitted to scoping out the casting hubbub online before landing their respective roles -- and having a bit of self-doubt in light of their competition. "Looking at their biceps and facial hair, I just gave up," Irons recalled. "So when I finally did get the phone call, it was a good day."
