All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling made a statement along these lines -- but more about bigotry than geometry -- to clarify what was up with Hogwarts' most maligned house.

During a lengthy Twitter debate on Scottish politics, Rowling made a bold statement about Slytherin.

"Not all Slytherins think they're racially superior," she tweeted. "But all those who do are Slytherins."

Oh, suh-nap.

As Hagrid says in "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "There's not a single witch or wizard who went bad who wasn't in Slytherin." But that doesn't mean all Slytherins are bad! Draco Malfoy was reformed eventually, and, let's face it, we weren't given much of a chance to get to know many Slytherins over the course of the books and movies. Merlin was a Slytherin! Are we trying to say that Merlin was a bad dude? Or a racist? Probably not.

This guy, well. You know. Sorry not sorry, Lucius. You made your beliefs crystal clear.

It just goes to show you, while the last book in the "Potter" series may have been released eight years ago this July (!!!), as long as Rowling is still around, we'll likely still get more answers and details about Harry's magical world.
