Avan Jogia Returns To His 'Twisted' Days With A New Thriller

Jogia plays another killer Danny in ‘The Drowning’

This year’s been a busy one for Avan Jogia. The former Victorious star premiered the Last Teenagers of the Apocalypse series, which he directed; starred in a movie about killing Elvis Presley; and directed former Tut co-star Ben Kingsley in the dark short Of Dogs and Men. Now he’s back with another twisted project.

On Sunday (December 11) Jogia tweeted the trailer for The Drowning, a thriller that gives off serious Twisted vibes. As the character Danny, who was convicted of murder and sent to prison at just 11 years old (sound familiar?), Jogia thrusts himself into the life of his old psychiatrist (Josh Charles) and becomes a borderline stalker, refusing to leave Tom and his wife, Lauren (Julia Stiles), alone.

Jogia hashtagged the video “different danny,” referencing his Twisted character — who was convicted of murder as a child — of the same name. Both of Jogia’s Dannys are shady as hell and definitely know more about the situation than they let on, and I wouldn’t want to be on their bad side. Check out the dark trailer above.
