Pink's worked so much with PETA lately that she's extending the animal rights groups' philosophies to her videos too.

The pop star liberates not just the townspeople of a fictional punk Western town, but the local livestock, too, in "Trouble," the first video for her forthcoming album, Try This.

"[I'm] freeing the town drunk, freeing the whores, freeing the horses," Pink said. "There are lots of metaphors involved."

Pink shot the video for "Trouble" in early September on a ranch in Newhall, California, where the TV show "Little House on the Prairie" was once filmed. Instead of a quiet rural community, however, video director Sophie Muller transformed the area into a menacing Wild West town, replete with working-girl barmaids (played by the Pussycat Dolls) and an evil sheriff (Jeremy Renner from "S.W.A.T.").

No one in the town was more dangerous, however, than Pink herself, both on- and off-camera.

"I got to work with stunt people," she said, "and I'm throwing them off balconies. The lead stunt guy was like, 'This is what we're going to do,' and I already box and kickbox, so he was like, 'Don't hit me for real!' "

Though Pink enjoyed doing her own stunts, riding into town on the horse and getting into bar fights -- even fake ones -- the shoot wasn't without its difficulties, beginning with when she fell off her horse.

"I did everything, that's why I got so hurt," she said. "I twisted both my ankles, pulled a muscle in my thigh and had to ride a horse for six hours in fishnets in 110-degree weather in rattlesnake territory. It was two of the longest days of my life. But the guys were great. ... It was fun."
