Madonna And Diplo Have Been Drinking Rosé And Working On Her Next Album

The Mad Decent label head explains what's been going on in the studio.

Our imaginations have been running wild with the possibilities of what is going on in the studio with Madonna and Diplo, and finally we have some answers. The Mad Decent label head has spilled a few details about all the late nights he's been having (alongside Rechtshaid) working on the pop icon's next album.

"I think three are just, like, amazing, smashes," he told Billboard. "One is super weird. Late one night in the studio, we got a little bit drunk and she improvised a little hook and we made a song out of it. I think it’s going to be a breakthrough if she can manage to get everything together and get it out properly."

And not that there was any doubt in your mind about what Madge likes to sip, but Diplo confirmed it was Rosé.

Diplo also revealed he was surprised when Madonna initially showed interest in some of his music, but his samples and her notes have led to three studio sessions in New York, and some experimentation.

One track Madge particularly liked of Diplo's has undergone so many changes it has literally transcended genres. "That song is on, like, version 20. It went from a piano ballad to a 'Turn Down for What'-style song, which I didn’t like. Now it’s somewhere in the middle, which is a more pop record."

No clues as to when her album will be out, but so far it sounds like the queen of pop's 13th album will be a good one.
