Krall Hitting Four Continents On Summer Tour

Top-selling pianist/singer to team with Tony Bennett on several dates.

Following the remarkable success of her #1 album When I Look Into Your Eyes, Grammy-winning pianist/singer Diana Krall has launched a four-continent world tour.

The Canadian native will blanket the East Coast in the remaining days of June, then start her "Two for the Road" tour with singer Tony Bennett. Along with bandmembers Rodney Greene on drums, Ben Wolfe on bass and Dan Faehnle on guitar, Krall and Bennett will hit the Vienna Jazz Festival on July 4, the San Sebastian Jazz Festival on July 22 in Spain and six other European festivals.

Krall then will take on the Western United States starting July 27 in Portland, Ore. Bennett will reunite with Krall for more duets from Aug. 4 in Los Angeles to a Sept. 3 performance in Canandaigua, N.Y.

She also has five dates south of the border, including Sept. 6 in Santiago, Chile, and Sept. 10 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Australians will be treated to several Krall performances, including one Sept. 29 in Sydney during the Olympics.

Krall's latest CD, released a year ago, has been on the Billboard Top Jazz albums chart for 51 straight weeks and has a tenacious grip on the top spot. The 35-year-old's fifth album has a smooth Latin tinge, particularly on "Let's Face the Music and Dance" (RealAudio excerpt), which has a bossa nova sound.
