A Tribe Called Quest Travels Path Of Upbeat Rhythms For "The Love Movement"

"Against the World," the new single from A Tribe Called Quest hits radio airwaves this week, and marks the first glimpse of the group's fifth album, "The Love Movement," which is due out on July 14.

For the new record, Quest, which formed 10 years ago in Queens, New York, decided that it wanted something a little different from its last record, 1996's "Beats, Rhymes & Life," and opted for something closer to the groovable rhythms of its debut, "People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.

I think that ['The Love Movement'] is more upbeat," explained Tribe vocalist Q-Tip in an interview with the MTV Radio Network. "It's definitely more relatable to me, to everybody, because it'll keep you in that mood to party and to chill and to just kick it.

As we previously reported (see [article id="1427090"]"Spike Lee Discusses Choosing PE For New Film "[/article]), A Tribe Called Quest was the group originally chosen by director Spike Lee's to

work on the music for his new film, "He Got Game," but the rapper's commitments to "The Love Movement" kept them from participating in the project.
