Pop-rockers Guided by Voices and Cheap Trick will co-headline a series of club shows in September, according to Carleen Donovan, a publicist for TVT Records, Guided by Voices' label. Four dates have been confirmed so far: Sept. 10 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., Sept. 15 at Roseland in New York, Sept. 16 at the Avalon Ballroom in Boston and Sept. 18 at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia; more will be announced soon, Donovan said. Guided by Voices' 12th album, Do the Collapse, produced by former Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, was released Tuesday (Aug. 3). Cheap Trick released a live album, Music for Hangovers, in June.
