Miguel Teases Grammy Performance With Wiz Khalifa: 'Expect It To Be Different'

Miguel heads into Sunday's Grammys with five nominations, but sharing the stage with Wiz is what he's 'really' excited about.

We're just three days away from the 55th Grammy Awards, which means there's still plenty of time to add a few more performers to the show.

Case in point: Miguel and Wiz Khalifa, who have just been confirmed to hit the Grammy stage, joining a lengthy list of performers that already includes everyone from [article id="1701045"]Justin Timberlake[/article] to [article id="1701075"]Elton John[/article] (not to mention Rihanna, Fun., Taylor Swift, Jack White, Mumford & Sons and a whole lot of other folks).

And though he got the Grammy invite on short notice, Miguel was far from unprepared; in fact, as he told MTV News during rehearsals for Clive Davis' annual Grammy party, he and Wiz have already cooked up something special ... just don't ask him for any details. Turns out this one is top secret until show night.

"It's gonna be different; expect it to be different," he smiled. "I can't tell you [specifics]; I don't want to spoil the moment, but it's going to be a lot of fun."

We're going to assume that the performance will prominently feature "Adorn," Miguel's breakout hit that led him to five Grammy nods (including Song of the Year) and was rather famously remixed by Wiz himself. Miguel isn't shy about professing his admiration for that remix -- "It's far and away my favorite," he said -- or the man behind it, either, which is why, though he heads into Sunday's show as one of the most-nominated artists, it's his performance with Wiz that may end up being his favorite moment of the night.

"I think the illest thing about Wiz Khalifa is how true to himself he's always been, and I miss that from artists. Nothing about what he does ever felt like he was reaching to be something that he wasn't," Miguel said. "And when you meet people like that, and they just feel very natural, it's a very distinct feeling, and you just like them because they're themselves. And that's how Wiz is, man. You've got to respect that and love that about him."
