Fat Possum Label Announces Showcase Tour

Veteran bluesmen embark on three-week trek

Raw and dirty blues guitarists T-Model Ford, Paul "Wine" Jones and Robert Belfour will kick off the monthlong Fat Possum Juke Caravan on May 26 in New Orleans, in support of their new albums on the Fat Possum label.

After cruising the Southwest, the trio will meet up with labelmate R.L. Burnside for one night at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. The tour will hit all the major stops along the Rockies and end up in Columbia, Mo., on June 17 for its finale.

The 78 year-old Ford, who was once convicted of murder, will release his new album She Ain't None of Yourn, later this May. This will be the guitarist's third LP, following his 1997 debut, Pee-Wee Get My Gun, and his 1998 album, You Better Keep Still.

Mississippi native Belfour will release his debut album What's Wrong With You, also in late May. Considered young by Fat Possum standards, the 59-year-old Belfour only began performing outside of his home state in 1993, after he retired from construction.

Fellow Mississippian Jones released his second Fat Possum album, Pucker Up Buttercup, last July.
