Kanye West's New Verse References His Classic Interview With Sway

'Can't Stop' is a snippet from Theophilus London's new album.

Almost a year after it went down, the epic Kanye West interview with MTV's Sway Calloway is back on our minds this week, thanks to one particularly impassioned quote from Yeezy: "It ain't Ralph, though!"

The line came when discussing Sway's clothing line -- which Kanye stressed was not on Ralph Lauren's level. On Monday night, in a snippet of a new Theophilus London song, "Can't Stop," 'Ye rehashes the line -- though in a different context.

"It's aight, but it ain't Ralph, though/ And unless your money talkin', keep your mouth closed," Yeezy raps on the song, which hit the 'net late Monday but was removed by the next morning. On the minute-and-a-half snippet, Yeezy invokes a flow and cadence that recalls sonics of Graduation-era Kanye far more than Yeezus-era Kanye.

The track appeared online just hours after Ralph Lauren himself responded to the initial comments in an interview with “That’s very cool. Well, that’s great," he said. "If I were to cater to Kanye, he would know that I’m catering to him. The fact that I make what I make—he gets it."

The "Can't Stop" snippet first appeared on an iTunes pre-order for London's new album, Vibes. According to London's Facebook page, the project will be executive produced by Kanye and is set to drop on October 28.
