The ‘Finding Nemo’ Sequel Will Include An Unexpected 'The Wire' Reunion

Springer Bell and McNutty take on the high seas.

Can you even imagine Springer Bell and McNutty in a Disney movie together?

Well, you'll have to wrap your head around the idea because it's happening.

According to ShortList, Idris Elba and Dominic West, the two standout stars of HBO's seminal original series "The Wire" will reunite on the big screen as voice-over actors for "Finding Dory," the highly-anticipated sequel to “Finding Nemo.”

"I saw Idris recently," West told ShortList. "We’re both in the sequel to 'Finding Nemo,' so we were recording that. I’m in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys from 'The Wire' – a lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly."

So instead of the mean streets of Baltimore, these two iconic characters will take on the high seas.

The animated film will also feature the voices of Albert Brooks, Diane Keaton, Willem Dafoe and the reigning Queen of Daytime talk, Ellen DeGeneres.
