Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Billy Joel recently taped a segment for the Bravo

cable-TV station's sixth season of "Inside the Actor's Studio" at New York's New School

of Social Research. The veteran singer/songwriter talked about everything from his

childhood in Levittown, N.Y., to his recent retirement from pop and return to classical

music. "It was more of an interview than a performance, though he played a little and

held a Q&A session with the students in the audience," said Bravo's Stephanie

DeCanditis. The one-hour segment will air this fall.
