He may not show off his pectoral muscles as much as the other "Teen Wolf" head-turners (just one lil peek?), but Stiles has stolen our hearts regardless. The former Scott McCall sidekick is supremely dedicated to keeping his friends (not to mention frenemies) safe, even risking his own life time and again to get the job done. We dunno how he does it, but where there's danger, there always seems to be a Stiles to the rescue -- especially during last week's episode, when several werewolves went bonkers and tried to commit suicide.

We await the day that Lydia finally takes notice of this closet superhero but, until then, let us count the many ways Stiles has come to save the day night in just the nick of time:

1. Stiles keeps Scott from torching himself (Season 3, Episode 6)

Riddled with guilt over Derek's "death" and tripping on wolfsbane, Scott was determined to end it all by going up in flames, just after delivering a sad-sack speech about longing to be no one again. Stiles wasn't hearing it, and piped up with only the best bro-BFF dialogue ever: "You're not no one. You're someone. You're my best friend. I need you. Scott, you're my brother. So if we're going to do this, then I think you're just going to have to take me with you." Scott was crying. Allison was crying. We were blowing snot bubbles.

2. Stiles helps save Derek from his wolfsbane-infused wound (Season 1, Episode 4)

After Kate Argent shot Derek with a wolfsbane-laced bullet, Stiles kept the dying werewolf calm while Scott searched the Argent household for a cure. With time running out, a desperate Derek asked Stiles to saw off his injured arm à la your worst "127 Hours"-inspired nightmare. At the insistence of Stiles, the two waited until Scott returned with the cure just before Derek lost his limb. So. Close.

3. Stiles temporarily traps the Alpha (Season 1, Episode 7)

While stuck inside Beacon Hills High School with the original Alpha, Scott and his crew were forced to face the creature head-on. There, Stiles used his smarts (as usual) to lure the werewolf into a room with a heavy metal door, where they formed a barricade. Though his plan worked for a short time, the terrifying night was eventually brought to an end thanks to Stiles' pop, the sheriff.

4. Stiles saves Derek from drowning (Season 2, Episode 4)

In what will forever be our favorite "Sterek" moment, Stiles kept a paralyzed Derek afloat in the BHHS swimming pool for more than two hours while the Kanima lurked in the shadows. Though it was a wolfed-out Scott that eventually saved the two, if it hadn't been for Stiles' perseverance, we would most certainly be down one more shirtless lycanthrope.

5. Stiles contains the kanima inside a police vehicle (Season 2, Episode 6)

Yet again, Stiles proved to be the brains behind the werewolf brawn. It was his idea to trap Jackson/the Kanima inside a prisoner transport van while deciding what to do about the latest threat to Beacon Hills, and though it was another temporary solution, it did help lead to the Kanima's eventual capture. High five, Stiles!
