'Snow White' Star Charlize Theron Praises Kristen Stewart's Authenticity
They may play adversaries in the upcoming fairy tale flick "Snow White and the Huntsman," but in real life, co-stars Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron kinda dig each other. A lot, actually. So when our own Josh Horowitz caught up with the beautiful blond recently, he just had to ask what the secret to their unlikely friendship is.
"Opposites attract," Charlize replied with a sly grin. "I think that there's an incredible girl here, and I like that she's so different because it's authentic. There's nothing I despise more than people trying to be something they're not. All of these quirks, they're authentic to who she is. She's not putting it on."
And despite their 15-year age difference, Charlize praised Kristen for her maturity.
"A lot of people that age--of course, she's going to be finding herself. I'm impressed with where she is already at her age," she said. "I have so much respect for someone who can authentically be themselves. The first thing I noticed about her was that when she says she doesn't give a f---, she means it. She's not trying to be cool. She's not trying to be edgy. She's very, very authentic, and that's what I like about her."
Of course, the feelings are mutual as Kristen said of Charlize, "With her, I really appreciate how different we are. I love the effect that she has on people. I find it hilarious. I love watching it happen."
"Snow White and the Huntsman" hits theaters June 1.
