Method Man And Redman Get Ready To Rumble

Method Man and Redman have a partnership somewhat like that of tag-team wrestlers, which will come in handy for their next video, "Tear It Off.

The video, taken from the soundtrack of the L.L. Cool J film "In Too Deep," will see the two hitting the mats as a pro wresting team. Wearing the referee stripes will be none other than Verne Troyer, otherwise known as "Mini-Me" from "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

Meth spoke to the MTV Radio Network about his tag-team partner. "We click you know," the Wu-Tang Clan member said. "Plus, it comes from being on the road together a lot, you know. You start to know somebody and roll off him. Sort of like a tag-team wrestling champion, you know. He's like the 'Road Dog Jesse James' and I'm 'Bad Ass Billy Guns,' and together we are the new age outlaws.

As previously reported, Meth and Red will be releasing a joint album, "Blackout," on September 28 (see [article id="1429424"]"Method Man, Redman Make

Plans For New Album"[/article]). The album was executive produced by Wu-Tang's RZA and EPMD's Erick Sermon, and guests on the album include L.L. Cool J, Ja Rule, and Wu-Tang members Ghostface Killah and Raekwon.

If you want to catch the Meth and Red team live, they will be performing as a duo (but probably not wrestling) on half of the dates of the upcoming Family Values tour (see [article id="1427696"]"Family Values Tour Announces Itinerary"[/article]).
