Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley Top Benefit

Chicago show also to feature Robert Cray Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band.

Rock forefathers Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley will top the

lineup for Hopefest 2000, a benefit Tuesday (Jan. 25) at the Riviera

Theater in Chicago. Money raised from the event will be donated to the

Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and Willie Dixon's Blues Heaven

Foundation, an organization that promotes music education in multicultural

communities. Also performing at the $55-a-seat show will be the Robert

Cray Band, Billy Branch & the Sons of Blues, the Kenny Wayne

Shepherd Band, the Staples Singers, Koko Taylor and

John Primer.
