Unlike many of today's teenage recording artists, none of the girls in

Canadian punk quartet Kittie was ever a Mouseketeer. Catch these

embittered high-schoolers on tour this month with alt-metal band

Slipknot. Kittie's full-length debut, the aptly titled Spit,

is due Jan. 11.

Suave jazz singer/pianist Harry Connick Jr. is spending January

touring the East Coast before heading off to Europe in March. His twelfth

album, Come By Me (June 1), marks his return to a big-band sound.

After a New Year's Eve show in Charlotte, N.C., blues guitar Wunderkind

Kenny Wayne Shepherd and band are playing a stretch in Houston

with the likes of country legends John Hiatt and Joe Ely

and folk songstress Patty Griffin. Shepherd released his third

album, Live On, in October.

North Carolina pop-rockers the Connells are taking their jangly,

harmony-laden love songs on the road in February after a New Year's Eve
