Candace Cameron Bure And Kirk Cameron Remember Their ‘Family’ Member, Alan Thicke

The siblings reflect on their special time with the late actor

Beloved TV icon and theme song composer Alan Thicke died on Tuesday (December 13) after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with his son, Carter.

Since his death, countless celebs expressed their condolences for the late actor and his family, including two people who've known Thicke for nearly their entire lives: siblings Kirk Cameron and Candace Cameron Bure.

Bure posted a pic from Thicke's hilarious (and maybe slightly creepy) Fuller House role.

In Fuller House's second season, Thicke plays a grandfather who sort of forces DJ (Bure) to be his date during the Tanner/Fuller family game night. He also prefaces everything he says with a "Mike here" and keeps trying to put the moves on DJ, which is simultaneously hilarious and unnerving since Thicke had been a part of Bure's life since the 1980s.

That's because her big brother, Kirk, played his TV son on Growing Pains.

From 1985 to 1992, Cameron portrayed Thicke's eldest son, Mike Seaver, on the hit family sitcom. Cameron noted on Instagram how his years with Thicke were "important" ones: "Alan was a generous, kind and loving man. I am so blessed to have grown up with him."
